Highly Effective International Sourcing
SED joined the AIEW buying group, by invitation, in 2010. Membership of AIEW has had a huge effect on the continuous development of the business. It has opened many doors, enabling us to be more competitive and to offer a wider range of products. Many of our current supplier network were previously unknown to us and we now have strong relationships with key suppliers who are critical to our business.
Membership of AIEW also gave us access to a huge ‘virtual’ branch network’, where we deal with other AIEW members. For example, we have contractor from Essex working in Skelmersdale, The local Essex based supplier asks us to supply the contracting team in Skelmersdale on his behalf.
